How to use it

Private by design

Most online viewers upload your file to their servers first. This one does not: parsing happens on your own device, so contracts, invoices and personal documents stay private. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Files are read and rendered locally by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it also works for confidential documents.

Which file types can I open?

PDF, Word (doc, docx, rtf, odt), Excel (xls, xlsx, csv, ods), PowerPoint (ppt, pptx, odp), EPUB, XPS, OFD, archives (zip, rar, 7z, tar, gz), email (eml, msg, mbox), images including HEIC and TIFF, audio, video, code and text files, draw.io, Excalidraw, XMind, 3D models (glTF, OBJ, STL, FBX) and GIS files (GeoJSON, KML, GPX, Shapefile).

Will Office documents look exactly like in Microsoft Office?

Simple and medium-complexity documents usually look very close. Complex layouts, unusual fonts or embedded objects may render differently because everything is reconstructed in the browser without Microsoft Office.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no hard limit, but very large files depend on your device memory. Files of a few hundred megabytes may be slow on phones.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. The viewer works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
