Vocal Remover: Remove Vocals From a Song

Remove vocals from any song in your browser and get the instrumental (karaoke), or keep only the vocals. AI separation, free, nothing uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

Vocal Remover splits a song into the instrumental (vocals removed, for karaoke, covers and practice) and the vocals only (a cappella, for remixes and learning the lyrics). It uses an AI separation model running entirely in your browser, so your music is never uploaded and there is no sign-up or limit.

How to remove vocals from a song

  1. Choose a song (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC) or a music video.
  2. Under Keep, choose Instrumental or Vocals only.

Frequently asked questions

Is my song uploaded?

No. The song is separated in your browser, on your device, and never sent anywhere.

How long does it take?

About half a minute to a minute for a 3–4 minute song on a recent computer, a bit longer on phones. The separation model (17 MB) is downloaded once and kept by your browser.

Can I get both the instrumental and the vocals?

Yes. Separate once, download the instrumental, then switch Keep to Vocals only and click Separate again: the second one is instant.

Will every trace of the voice be gone?

Most of it. Loud backing vocals, heavy reverb and effects can leave a faint trace, especially in busy mixes.

Can I use the result commercially?

The tool is free to use, but the song itself is still protected by copyright: use the result for practice, karaoke at home or with permission from the rights holder.
