Separate PDF into Single Pages

Split a PDF so that every page becomes its own PDF file, downloaded together in one ZIP. Free, lossless, no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

Separate PDF pages when every page needs to be its own file: individual invoices from a monthly batch, single certificates from a combined print, or scanned forms that should be filed one by one. Choose a PDF and every page is saved as a separate PDF.

How it works

  1. Choose a PDF. “Every page separately” is already selected on this page.
  2. Check the page previews.
  3. Click Split into … files. You get one ZIP file that contains a PDF for every page.

File names

Files are numbered with leading zeros, so they stay in the right order in any folder:

Original file Pages Files in the ZIP
invoices.pdf 12 invoices-page-01.pdf … invoices-page-12.pdf
scan.pdf 3 scan-page-1.pdf … scan-page-3.pdf

Splitting into groups

If documents are several pages long, for example four-page forms, choose Custom ranges and type 1-4, 5-8, 9-12. To pull out just a few pages instead, see Extract pages from PDF. Each range becomes one PDF in the ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get when I separate a PDF?

One PDF file per page, named with the page number, for example report-page-01.pdf, report-page-02.pdf. They are downloaded together in one ZIP file.

How do I open the ZIP file?

Windows and macOS open ZIP files with a double-click. On iPhone, tap the file in the Files app. On Android, use the Files app or any file manager.

Can I split into groups of pages instead?

Yes. Switch to Custom ranges and type the groups you want, for example 1-4, 5-8, 9-12. Each group becomes one PDF.

Is the quality reduced?

No. Each page is copied exactly as it is, including text, fonts and images.
