Split PDF

Split a PDF into separate files or extract the pages you need, right in your browser. Free, no sign-up, no watermark, and the PDF is never uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

Split PDF cuts one PDF into smaller files, right in your browser. Extract just the pages you need, save every page as its own PDF, or split the document into custom ranges.

How to split a PDF

  1. Click Choose a PDF or drop a PDF onto the page. Page previews appear below.
  2. Choose what you want to do:
    • Extract pages: click pages or type numbers such as 1-3, 5.
    • Every page separately: one PDF per page.
    • Custom ranges: type ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7-. Each range becomes one PDF.
  3. Click the button to download. Several files are saved together in a ZIP file.

Split modes

Mode You get Example
Extract pages One PDF with the selected pages 2, 4-5 → a 3-page PDF
Every page separately One PDF per page, in a ZIP 10 pages → 10 PDFs
Custom ranges One PDF per range, in a ZIP 1-3, 4- → 2 PDFs

Pages are copied without re-compression, so text, images and fonts stay exactly as they were.

Private by design

Your PDF is processed on your own device and never uploaded. That makes it safe for statements, contracts and other documents you would not want to send to a stranger’s server.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is split by JavaScript in your browser and the new files are saved straight to your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

How do I extract only some pages?

Choose Extract pages, then click the pages you want or type their numbers, for example 1-3, 5. The selected pages are saved together as one new PDF.

How do I split a PDF into single pages?

Choose Every page separately. Each page becomes its own PDF, and you download them all in one ZIP file.

What does a range like 7- mean?

It means from page 7 to the last page. Likewise, -3 means pages 1 to 3.

Does splitting reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. Remove the password with the app you normally use to open the file, then split it here.
