Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is built by JavaScript in your browser, so your photos and scans never leave your device.

Which image formats can I use?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF. PNG images and upright JPG photos are placed in the PDF unchanged, with no quality loss. Rotated phone photos are turned the right way up and saved once at high JPG quality. Other formats are converted first. HEIC photos from iPhones are not supported yet; export them as JPG first.

How do I change the page order?

Use the arrow buttons under each image to move it earlier or later. The PDF pages follow the order shown on screen.

Which page size should I choose?

A4 is standard in most countries, US Letter in the United States and Canada. "Same as image" makes each page exactly the size of its image, with no white borders when the margin is set to none.

Will the PDF have a watermark?

No. There is no watermark, no page limit and no sign-up.

Why is a photo rotated in the preview but correct in the PDF?

Phone cameras store rotation in the photo's metadata. The converter applies that rotation, so the PDF shows the photo the right way up.
