This page opens Edit PDF with Highlight ready to use. Drag across a line or paragraph to mark it with a see-through colour, just like a highlighter pen. It is handy for study notes, contract reviews and pointing out what matters before you share a document. The PDF stays on your device.
How to highlight a PDF
- Click Choose a PDF and pick your file. Type the password if it asks for one.
- Drag over the text you want to mark. Change the Colour first if you want something other than yellow.
- Move a highlight with Select, remove it with Delete, or step back with Undo.
- Click Save edited PDF to download name-edited.pdf.

Tips
- Use one colour per meaning and stick with it across the document.
- Highlights drawn on a scan cover the area you drag, so drag from the top of the letters to the bottom for a neat result.
- To change words rather than mark them, use Edit text on Edit PDF.
- To check what changed between two versions of a document, try Compare PDF.
