HEIC to JPG Converter

Convert HEIC photos from your iPhone to JPG in your browser, in batches. Works on Windows and Android. Free, no sign-up, and photos are never uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

HEIC to JPG converts the photos your iPhone or iPad takes into ordinary JPG files that open on any computer, website or app. Add one photo or a whole folder, and they are converted on your own device.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Click Choose HEIC photos or drop .heic / .heif files onto the page.
  2. Choose JPG (smaller files) or PNG (lossless, bigger files).
  3. Click Convert to JPG. One photo downloads directly; several come in a ZIP file.

Upload to most websites Often rejected Yes

Tips

  • Want JPG straight from the iPhone? Go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG.
  • Sending photos from an iPhone to a PC by cable or AirDrop? iOS can convert them on the way: Settings → Photos → Transfer to Mac or PC → Automatic.
  • For Live Photos, only the still picture is converted.

Private by design

Photos are personal. They are decoded and saved by your own browser and never uploaded. Browsers without built-in HEIC support load a HEIC decoder from this site the first time you convert a photo. See how it works to verify that nothing leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The photos are decoded and converted by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which matters for personal photos.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos by default since iOS 11. It saves space, but Windows, many websites and older apps cannot open it, which is why people convert it to JPG.

Can I convert many photos at once?

Yes. Add as many HEIC files as you like. One photo downloads as a JPG; several are saved together in a ZIP file.

Does converting reduce the quality?

Every conversion to JPG re-compresses the image. At the default High quality the difference is very hard to see. Choose Maximum quality or PNG if you want to edit the photos further.

Is the location and camera data kept?

No. The converted JPG has no EXIF data, so your GPS location, camera model and date are removed. The photo is still turned the right way up.

Why do the colours look slightly less vivid?

iPhones save photos in the wider Display P3 colour range. The browser converts them to standard sRGB colours when saving JPG, which can make very saturated colours look a little less intense on wide-gamut screens.
