Photo Collage Maker

Make a photo collage from 2 to 12 pictures: pick a layout and size for Instagram, Stories or print, then save a full-resolution JPG or PNG. No upload.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

Photo Collage Maker puts 2 to 12 photos together into one picture. Choose a layout and a size for an Instagram post, a Story, a widescreen image or an A4 print, adjust the spacing, corners and background colour, and save the collage as a full-resolution JPG or PNG. Your photos are never uploaded.

How to make a photo collage

  1. Click Choose 2 to 12 photos or drop them onto the page. JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC from an iPhone all work.
  2. Pick a Layout: Grid, One big, others small, One row, One column or Mosaic.
  3. Pick a Size, for example Square 1:1 (Instagram post) or Story 9:16.
  4. Set Spacing for the gap between photos, Corners to round them, and Background for the colour behind them.
  5. Drag inside a photo to move it in its frame, and scroll (or pinch on a trackpad) over it to zoom. Click two photos one after the other to swap them.
  6. Choose Save as JPG or PNG and click Download. The file is saved as collage.jpg or collage.png.

Use Add photos to put more pictures in, or Start over to begin a new collage.

Sizes

Size Pixels Good for
Square 1:1 (Instagram post) 2160 × 2160 Instagram and Facebook posts
Portrait 4:5 (Instagram) 2160 × 2700 Instagram portrait posts, which take more room in the feed
Story 9:16 2160 × 3840 Stories, Reels covers, phone wallpapers
Landscape 16:9 3840 × 2160 Slides, desktop wallpapers, YouTube
A4 print (portrait) 2480 × 3508 Printing at 300 dpi

Which layout to choose

  • Grid spreads the photos evenly in rows and columns. Good for 4, 6 or 9 photos.
  • One big, others small gives the first photo most of the space. Swap a photo into the first frame to make it the main one.
  • One row and One column work best with two or three photos, such as a before and after.
  • Mosaic alternates rows of two and three photos for a less rigid look.

Tips

  • Faces near the edge: if a head is cut off, drag the photo inside its frame or zoom out.
  • PNG or JPG: JPG files are smaller and fine for social media; PNG is lossless but much larger.
  • White borders: set Spacing to around 20 and keep the background white for a classic print look.
  • Too big for email: shrink the result with Compress Image, or make it smaller with Resize Image.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can a collage have?

Up to 12. If you choose more, the first ones that fit are added and a message says how many were left out. You can add photos later with Add photos.

How big is the saved collage?

It is saved at full resolution: 2160 × 2160 px for Square, 2160 × 2700 px for Portrait, 2160 × 3840 px for Story, 3840 × 2160 px for Landscape and 2480 × 3508 px for A4, which is 300 dpi when printed.

How do I change which part of a photo shows?

Drag inside the photo to move it in its frame, and scroll the mouse wheel over it to zoom in or out. Each photo fills its frame, so the edges of the photo may be cut off.

How do I swap two photos?

Click one photo; a blue outline marks it. Then click the other one and they change places. Click the same photo again to cancel.

Is there a watermark?

No. The collage is saved exactly as you see it in the preview, with no watermark or logo.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The photos are opened and the collage is drawn by your browser. Nothing leaves your device, so private and family photos stay private.
