Add Text to PDF puts new text anywhere on a PDF page. Click Text, type, drag the box into place and save. It is a quick way to add a note, fill in a blank line, write a date or label a page, without installing a PDF editor. It works in your browser, and the file is never uploaded.
To be clear about what this is: it adds text on top of the page. It does not edit the text that is already in the PDF.
How to add text to a PDF
- Click Choose a PDF or drop a PDF onto the page.
- Scroll to the page you want and click Text. A text box appears on that page, ready for typing.

- Drag the box to where you want it. Drag the corner handle to make the text bigger or smaller. Click × to remove it.
- Add as many text boxes as you need, on any page, then click Save signed PDF. The copy is saved with
-signedadded to its name.

Tips
- Keep it on one line. Each text box holds one line. For two lines, add a second box under the first.
- Same note on every page? Use Watermark PDF for a repeated label, or Add Page Numbers for numbering.
- Password-protected file? Enter the password when asked. The saved copy has no password; use Unlock PDF if you only want to remove it.
- Starting from Word? Fix the text in the document and convert it with Word to PDF.
