Frequently asked questions

Which ebook formats can I convert?

EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 files without DRM. EPUB is the format used by most ebook stores outside Kindle, by public domain libraries and by many authors who sell directly. Other formats, such as MOBI, AZW or KFX, are not supported.

Why can't I convert my Kindle books?

Kindle books are protected with DRM, which encrypts their contents so they can only be opened in Kindle apps and devices. This tool does not remove DRM. If the author or publisher offers a DRM-free EPUB, convert that instead.

How do I know if my ebook has DRM?

Just try it. If the book is DRM-protected, the tool says so as soon as you open it, before anything is converted. DRM-free books open with their title, author and chapter count.

Can I print the PDF as a booklet?

Choose A5 page size and print two pages per sheet of A4 from your PDF reader's print settings, or pick 6 × 9 in for a paperback-sized proof.

Is my ebook uploaded?

No. The ebook is opened and converted in your browser, on your device.
