EXIF Viewer

View the EXIF data of JPG, PNG and WebP photos in your browser, including GPS location, camera, lens and date. Remove it if you want. Nothing uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

EXIF Viewer shows the hidden information stored inside your photos: where and when they were taken, which camera or phone took them, and with which settings. Add one or many photos and the details appear next to each file. If you do not want to share that information, remove it with one click.

Frequently asked questions

What information can I see?

The camera make and model, lens, date and time taken, GPS coordinates, software used and author or copyright fields, plus every other readable EXIF, XMP and IPTC field in a table.

Do I have to remove the metadata?

No. Adding photos only reads them. Nothing is changed or downloaded unless you click Remove metadata.

Why does my photo show no metadata?

Many apps and websites remove it, for example when you download a photo from social media, take a screenshot or export from some editors. The page then says that no metadata was found.

Can I view HEIC photos?

Not on this page. Convert them with HEIC to JPG first; note that the converted JPG no longer contains the original metadata.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The metadata is read by your browser on your device.
