Bank Statement to Excel turns the transactions in a PDF bank statement into a spreadsheet: one row per transaction, with the date, description, money out, money in and balance in their own columns. Amounts become real numbers, so you can sort, filter and total them. The statement is converted in your browser and never leaves your device, which matters for a document that shows your account number and spending.
What you get
| In the statement | In the spreadsheet |
|---|---|
| Date, description, paid out, paid in, balance | The same columns |
| A long description that wraps onto two lines | One cell with the whole description |
| 1,250.00 | A number you can sum |
| Transactions over several pages | One table, header row only once |
| Account details above the table | Left out; only the table is converted |
Tips
- Check that the last balance in the spreadsheet matches the closing balance on the statement.
- If a summary box is also picked up as a table, click Remove on it before downloading.
- In a statement downloaded from online banking the text is taken from the PDF itself, so it is exact. Scanned or photographed statements are read with text recognition, so check the amounts.
