Image to Excel

Convert a JPG, PNG, photo or screenshot of a table to an Excel sheet in your browser. Rows, columns and merged cells are rebuilt. Free, nothing uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded. How it works

Image to Excel rebuilds a table from a picture: a JPG or PNG screenshot of a report, a photo of a price list, a picture of a table in a slide. The rows, columns and merged cells come back as a real spreadsheet, and numbers are stored as numbers so you can calculate with them.

Typical pictures

Picture of What you get
A table in a screenshot or slide An Excel sheet with the same columns
A printed price list or timetable Rows you can sort and filter
A table from a book or report Data you can chart
A chat screenshot with figures Numbers you can sum

Tips

  • Check the preview: click any cell to fix a misread value before you download.
  • If the table is missed, use Select a table yourself and drag a box around it.
  • For a PDF, drop the PDF itself: its own text is exact.

Frequently asked questions

Which images work best?

Screenshots and straight, sharp photos of printed tables. Crop away anything around the table if you can; tables with lines and tables without both work.

Can it read a photo taken at an angle?

Text recognition expects straight, horizontal lines. Take the photo straight on, or rotate and crop it first; angled or curved pages give mixed-up rows.

Which languages are supported?

Auto covers English, European languages, Chinese and Japanese. For Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Greek, Tamil or Telugu, pick the language under Text language before choosing the image.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The table is read on your device.

Is this an AI tool?

Yes: AI models find the table, its rows and columns, and read the text. They are downloaded once and run in your browser, so there is no account, no per-use cost and the image stays on your device.
